Our Team

  • Kelley

    Owner, Coach, Coffee addict

Kelley has been with Lioness since its inception in 2016 and couldn’t be more thrilled with her current role as captain of the ship!

After decades of believing that endless cardio was the only way to lead a “healthy” lifestyle, a wonderful twist of fate led her to Kim, the founder and OG Lioness. Here she was introduced to the empowering world of weight lifting and has been hooked ever since!

As a total puzzle nerd, she loves to teach other Lionesses how to unlock their strength potential and solve the mystery of why our bodies act the way they do and how to optimize them to support their daily activities, as well as their long term goals. She will always be ready with the next heaviest weight (or sneakily adding a little extra to the bar) because she knows all of our Lionesses are strong, badass women who can do hard things!

Outside of coaching, Kelley loves to be surrounded by her favorite things - her family, friends and a strong cup of coffee.

  • Jordann

    Dog-Mom, Yogi, Granny

Jordann wears a lot of hats, and most of them are sweat-wicking. As a certified personal trainer, holistic nutritionist, health coach, and yoga instructor, she’s spent the last decade helping people navigate the wellness world to find what actually works for their body, lifestyle, and goals.

Her approach is rooted in the belief that health and fitness aren’t one-size-fits-all, and she’s passionate about making movement and wellness accessible (and dare I say, even fun) for every person, no matter their background, ability, or previous experience. Jordann is known for her no-BS attitude, her sick dance moves, and the fact that she genuinely practices what she preaches - yes, even the early morning walks and overnight oats.

When she’s not coaching clients or teaching classes, you’ll find her hiking with her pup Mabel, cooking up something tasty, or calling it an early night (every night) with a good book or a new crochet project.

  • Tessa

    Wellness advocate and Outdoor enthusiast

Tessa became fascinated with the benefits of moving her body at a young age, specifically those related to mental health and chronic disease prevention. She studied exercise physiology for her undergraduate program and became a certified personal trainer through ACSM. Due to her passion for helping and educating others, she received a Master's of Public Health and now works in the public health field.

Her passion revolves around fostering physical activity and holistic wellness within communities, making exercise accessible and indispensable to everyone’s lives. She firmly believes that the rewards of a healthy lifestyle should be accessible to all.

Tessa’s love for helping others make healthy choices and the positive, social atmosphere at Lioness brought her to the pride. Since she works from home, she looks forward to connecting with others at the gym.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Tessa enjoys an active lifestyle, whether weightlifting at the gym, training for a triathlon, or venturing into the great outdoors for hiking, rock climbing, and skiing. You can also find her under cozy blankets reading romance and fantasy novels and sharing peaceful moments with her two large dogs and partner.

  • Andrea

Trainer, Candy aficionado, Pretty okay at bikes

At Lioness, I coach group classes and often jump into workouts myself—because why should the fun (and sweat) be limited to one side of the whiteboard? I’m passionate about helping women discover the mental and physical benefits of strength training. Watching someone lift heavier, move better, and grow more confident? That’s the good stuff.

I became a certified personal trainer in November 2025 and have a B.S. in Biology—so yes, I can tell you exactly which muscle you’ll be blaming tomorrow. I was drawn to Lioness because it’s not your average gym. It’s supportive, empowering, and full of people cheering each other on. Basically, it’s got a great vibe—and I’m here for it.

My coaching style is rooted in positive energy and encouragement. I believe we can do hard things—and then laugh about them while stretching.

When I’m not coaching or lifting, I’m usually on a bike: road, cyclocross, mountain, or fat biking—I love it all. I race with Femme Forty Racing, a Madison-based FWTNB cycling team. At home, I hang with my husband Jason, our two kids Eleanor and Mitchell, and our dog Reuben.

  • Claire

Professional napper, Jigsaw puzzle master and Dog mom

Claire is a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise with over 5 years of experience helping clients of all ages and abilities build strength, confidence, and long-term fitness habits.

With a strong foundation in movement science, Claire earned a degree in Kinesiology: Exercise and Movement Science in 2020 and went on to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2025. In addition to training, Claire works as a pediatric physical therapist, working with kids of all ages and abilities in the Madison area. She brings a unique understanding of body mechanics, injury prevention, and individualized care to the Lioness Team. Claire is passionate about making fitness accessible and enjoyable for everyone and hopes to break down barriers so all bodies can move better, feel stronger, and live fully.

When not at the gym, Claire enjoys taking her dog to the park, crafting, puzzling, and spending time with friends and family.

  • Jess

    Mom, Crafter, Potato enthusiast

Jess is a NASM certified personal trainer and nutrition coach, ready to share her expertise with anyone looking for individualized guidance. Her knowledge and motivational spirit make every session engaging and empowering!
Jess’ journey into strength training was life-changing.

After years of relying on cardio, an injury during half-marathon training opened her eyes to the importance of weightlifting. Now, she’s excited to share that transformative experience with you!

Outside of the gym, Jess has a creative side—she enjoys quilting and making crafts with her Cricut machine. She also loves reading, running (at her own pace!), tackling jigsaw puzzles, and sailing. Originally from Chicago (Go Cubs!), she cherishes family time with her husband and two kids.
